My Mind Dump Stephanie Jones Christmas Album Review October 2003 STORY BEHIND THE ALBUM: It all started in the wee hours of October 18th 2002 after a gig in Plano Texas.Stephanie and her band were staying with friends Bill and Sharon Alderdice who asked her that night to record a Christmas album, promising to buy 150 copies. Stephanie immediately declined the offer but went to bed feeling strangely inspired and inclined to at least consider the idea. After saying a few prayers for guidance she fell asleep only to wake up the next morning to penn the first of five original Christmas songs. The next few weeks became what is known as an amazing journey of faith. Each day for a week Stephanie wrote one new song and within two weeks her prayers were answered, and the "Spirit of Christmas" album was written, recorded, mixed and ready to sell.Jones sent an e-mail out to her fan base and within three weeks miraculously sold over $10,000.00 worth of albums just in time for the Holiday season.This year "The Sprit of Christmas" by Stephanie Urbina Jones will be made available at retail stores across tehe country....on CasaDelRio/ V-Tone/ Compendia Distribution.... |
