Stephanie Urbina Jones self titled CD is a real Texas treasure. This young ladies voice is angelic and whisks you unto a comfortable easy feeling. She has very smooth vocals with a little bit of latin spice that delivers the mark every time. Male vocalists dominate the scene and some of the female artists can feel a little intimidated by this. One listen to this CD or seeing one of Stephanie's live shows makes it very clear that she won't be intimidated by anyone. I would put this pretty ladies voice up against Martina McBride or Jodee Messina any day of the week. This album has been shakin' things up here in Texas with her song "Shakin' Things Up" going to #1 on the Texas Music Charts, which was a first, by the way, for a female independent artists in the history of the chart. Stephanie is touring across the state and sharing the stage with some Texas legends like Jerry Jeff Walker, Willie Nelson and Billy Joe Shaver to name just a few. There really isn't a bad track on this CD, from "He Reminds Me Of Texas" and "Ayayay..." to Billy Joe Shaver's favorite, "God Loves It When We Dance" and the beautiful "Adios Mi Amigo."
